Pastor Jay Smith has been on staff full time at New Life First Baptist Church since 2007. He surrendered to the ministry while serving part time as worship pastor at New Life First Baptist Church. He served as the full time Associate/Worship Pastor for eight years before accepting the position of Senior Pastor in April of 2015. Pastor Jay has a passion for God’s Word and for God’s Glory to spread throughout the church to reach the world for Christ. His heart is for the spiritual growth of the church. Pastor Jay has been married to his wife Penny since 1994 and they have two children, Donny and Haley. Jay is currently attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing his Masters in Christian Education.
